well most here will like hybrids thats why we are here. In most cases we like hybrids because they are different, unique and not owned by a million people

Personally I like them for a few reason. For one I like unusual things, each animal looks completely different from the next, even from the same clutch. Also its interesting to see how these crosses are related to each other and how there behavior, patterns, colors, and genetics act when combinded with each other.

@ blue11 - What future plans do you have in the pipeline regarding Hybridisation.

I have found with Hybrids, and here I use a simple example like Creamsicle Corns, the babies are bigger as well as the fact that they are more eager to accept that first meal. What I am saying is that from breeding snakes for the last 8 years, I still get those corn babies that need to be encouraged to accept the first meal whereas with the Creamsicle's it almost never occurs. Pop in the pink and it is gone.

Im kinda in the fish keeping hobby and possibly leaving it for snakes Wink
And even in the fish hobby hybrids were my fav. I'm not that sure why I like them. there Uniqueness? There color? There unpredictability? I dunno. Maybe for all of these reasons, maybe more. nah. there just awesome!  Grin lol

Hey herpnoob, don't leave one for the other.
Practice both hobbies.

I fully understand that. I have sacrificed my other interests after realising that Snakes are my real passion.

It is also very difficult to dedicate all your time and effort to two separate hobbies, one will normally suffer.

If I were you I would decide which one I am more passionate about and drop the other.

Aaaahhhhh!  Choices.

Unfortunately I probably might not get a snake. Whe I asked my mom .can I buy an Imperial Puebland? Ill pay for it.' she didnt know I was talking about a snake. When she found out i wanted a snake she said its not going to happe. Were moving soon and maybe if we get a house with a 3 car garage I might be able to keep a snake in there and she wouldn't need to see. Well see how it goes.

Not a good idea to go against ones' parents wishes. What you need to do is take your mom to a reptile expo or shop and handle one of the non-venomous species in front of her so that she can see that it is safe and would not cause you harm. You can then suggest keeping a snake in one section of the garage where she would not have to see it or have contact with it. Sometimes however shock tactics do work in the form of having a snake without her knowing. I did this with my first snake and my wife, I kept the snake at a buddies house for 4 months before my wife found out, she then told me I might as well bring it home. This from a woman who hated snakes and today has a dozen of her own.

Rolandslf  gave some good advice as well as the fact that a garage is not an ideal location as it will be much more difficult to maintain proper temps

The beauty of research is that you end up with a scenario whereby "Forewarned is Forearmed", this can only help you in the future with regard to handling, identification and caring for snakes. You are also displaying a very mature attitude regarding the hobby.
